I have a friend and former who studies with you and he recmmends that I come study with you. I am considering just that after I heal from a back injury. I have studied with Master Tony Horton and I know Master Bill Hulsey. I have studied some ninjutsu, kenpo, Okinawa te, and I believe there is not a martial art in the world that can ever compare to San Soo in devastating effectiveness. I am proud to have studied and look forward to beginning again.

Mr. Sera,
My Uncle, Michael J. Tellers (Norwalk, CA) trained in San Soo and spoke highly of Master Jimmy H. Woo. He also mentioned Master William Hulsey as well. There was an instructor named Richard Rainwater who had a spot at 5 points (Across the street from Norwalk Square) in Norwalk, CA.
I am sure you have had many students over the years but does the name of Mike Tellers sorta sound familiar?
Much respects,
Tim "Loco" Johnson...

Hi Jack, I don't know if you remember me. I was your student at the El Monte school before it closed. I went back looking to start my training again and sadly found that the building was gone. I have since moved out of California and have been missing San Soo. I am happy to see you are offering the opportunity to practice by video. It would be great if students like my self would be able to train and move up in rank to officially get their belts in San Soo. Have you thought of providing that opportunity to far away students?
Is great to be in touch. Take care.
Oscar

Jack:
I have a nephew who would like to study Kung Foo San Soo. He lives in Long Beach. Are you teaching out Long Beach or near by. I know it would be a great opportunity for him to train under you.
John,
We can only recommend the following instructor in Orange County. Master Dale A. Garrison. Go to his website to find out more.
He teaches on Saturday in Orange near the 91 and 55 freeway or on Monday and Wednesday at the La Mirada Community center.

Started with Frank in 1974 and moved onto Dennis Kirby until he closed Anaheim. Left off with Vince Scocozza in Buena Park in 1995 with a 7th degree. Miss the art, no one in the high desert (Victorville) teaching. Would love to get back involved.

I trained back in 1973 with Ron Van Browning out of Huntington Beach. I cannot seem to locate him. Do you know him and do you know where he might be?
My son trained in Kung Foo San Soo and now my grandson is training.
Also is your nationality filipino?
Thank You
John

I'd like to congratulate Cesar Perez on getting his 3d degree black belt diploma from Master Jack Sera.
He has worked hard learning the more effective Kung Fu San Soo that Master Jack Sera teaches. No more big man kung fu for you my friend.
Again congratulations Cesar on your promotion, you deserve it!

Master Jack,
I an honored to train under you. Every workout is just like personal training and a seminar. I am always blown away by the knowledge that you have and the things you see that other students or instructors don't or never will. There are good instructors out there but no one compares to your expertise. There is no doubt why Grandmaster Jimmy Woo chose you to take over the original El Monte, CA studio. Thanks for being a friend and sharing San Soo with us.

Jack,
I don't know if you remember me, but about ten years ago I used to bring my daughter, Denise, to your studio in Whittier. (I was the one who had the hip replacement surgery while she was coming there.) I would sit and wait for her while she did her workouts. Do you still have the Whittier studio? I'd love to hear from you, if you could drop me a quick email. And I'd love to send you some pictures of Denise, her husband and three kids, and update you on how great she's doing!

Master Jack Sera,
First of all, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your incredible knowledge of San Soo with me. I hit the "Jack Pot" when I found you.
Your emphasis on timing and coordination is already improving the techniques that I have learned from three years of San Soo. I feel like I am re-learning San Soo all over again.
The DVD's are Awesome. I watched the whole thing after Tuesday's class.
I would like to also thank Master Dale Garrison and the rest of the crew.
I am humble and committed to learning from this class for a very long time.
John

Dear sir,
I trained in the early seventies in Montebello with James Lippis as an Instructor for only 6 months and had to stop. It has been my goal in life to continue training. Could you please recommend a studio in the Orange County area for me? Thank you for your help.
Tommy

Update on my earlier comments. It seems there are at least 3 KFSS fighters now in TN. There is one in Smyrna, TN; a second in Murfreesboro, TN. Both are south of Nashville or middle TN. I am located in LaFollette, TN, which is in east TN about 40 miles north of Knoxville. All three of us offer lessons it seems. I belong to the Academy of Martial Arts which has its origins in Shaolin Kung Fu. I have "infected" them over the past three years with Kung Fu San Soo. We now have one black belt, one 4th degree black belt and one 7th degree black belt in KFSS at the studio. They, in turn, have trained me in Shaolin Kung Fu especially pressure points. We also have seminars, from time to time, with other instructors. Most recently in Muay Thai from a 10th Dan who also competes in Chuck Norris's World Combat League. He is Bob Stines.
Having fun and hanging in there.

Hi Jack! I trained with Tony Feliz in ELA back in 1987. I wonder if you can give Tony my email just to see how he is doing. I hope he remebers me. Tell him I was the one with a florescent blue motorcycle.I notice the ELA facility closed. I was sad to see.

I am interested in studying Kung Fu San Soo. What options are available to me? Thank you.
We know of no San Soo istructors in that area that we could recommend.
You could buy the basic 45 DVD set and then find a partner to train with but you really need a good instructor to learn Kung Fu San Soo correctly.

I was a student of Master Ron Scanlon and I'm currently studying with Master Lawrence Rouse. I would like to know if you're ever teaching a one-day seminar, since I do not live close enough to come to regular classes. Thank you!
Come to Master Sera's class for a mat visit. $20.00. You will feel like you are in an advanced seminar!

I train under Master Ron Tetters he says that he knew Jimmy personally
Master Sera not only knew Jimmy personally, Jimmy respected Master Sera enough to have him take over the El Monte studio after Jimmy retired. You can't get any more personally then that!
